I need a statistical test other than chi square that can be used for nonliving organisms.?

Im kinda in a jam, i just got my data for this yesterday , and our teacher wants us to find out a stats test we can do with this . He wants something more than averages , and i have looked everywhere. I can't use chi square , because i can't divide by zero. Some of our data didn't change ( like our control group and others. ) I really need one badly, i've looked every where.
