I kinda Like this guy, but I don't know what to do?!!!!?

There is they guy who goes to my church, Matt, and he's a year older than me, and I kinda like him. We have become really close buds, and he's soooo cute. I think he likes me too, because he always gives me hugs and sits next to me. But he thought I was his age, until i asked my other friend, Ben, at my church who's his homeroom teahcer, he told me and then Matt asked if we were in the same grade. We said yes. And matt asked, "wow, Ben, I didn't know you were in 9th grade?" Ben told matt we were in 8th grade, and Matt got this funny look on his face like, "wow, i liked an 8th?" and walked away. I think he still likes me, but I'm afraid he's embaressed about it! What should I do?
