Is God trying to punish me?

I have been promiscuous in the past and have known some girls that could have been potential wifes(with a little work) and I have two children out of wedlock. Now, I really understand the value of a wife. Unfortuneatlyl, I feel like my perceptions toward women has been distorted because of having so many "one night stands and meaningless ual relationships." I am 32 now and I believe that I could be a really good husband if I only get the chance. Now I am at school and women seem to sense the types of things I've been through. Will a woman ever give me a chance or is god trying to punish me.
