Why won't this dry cough quit? (Read Before You Post)?

My Mum has the EXACT same thing (and it started as a lung infection like ur friend's). She is not a smoker and has had the cough since december. She had a chest Xray last week and got diagnosed with "WHooping cough". maybe you should check it out.
