Atheists (AND believers) - what do you make of this Anthropic Principle?

It is a poor argument, and has already been easily refuted. They see how the universe is, and decide that it must have been designed that way. The fact is, we see the universe as it is because the universe is as it is. Any of the "hundred" (Had to laugh at that. Only a hundred?) variables could have been different, and the universe would have been different as a result. Had that happened, perhaps we wouldn't be here, depending on the change. But something else would be somewhere. Basically, things didn't happen as they did so that we could be here, we're here because things happened as they did.
