Topping up NHS treatment?

It is a disgraceful state of affairs. I have stopped donating to various research charities because having found various cures the drugs are too expensive to prescribe. Only the rich can afford them. Every now and then there is an odd story of a " poor " person being cured to make us think it is worth it, but there are more stories of people being denied the overpriced expensive drugs. If we spent less money on those who should not be here, maybe there would be enough to treat everybody. Now I suppose that I will be called a racist.
