Has President B. Hussein Obama's foreign policies deterred terrorism? Are we universally liked now?

With Obama I hear the laughter getting louder, but on the contrary, when Bush was president, countries seemed to fear us after we took action on 9/11. Even so, I don't think we should care or worry about what the rest of the world thinks. It's delusional to try to make everyone else like us. I'd rather have them in fear of us.
